Wire Working for Beginners *** learn to wrap wire around several surfaces (beads, beach glass), make jump rings & use tools properly. Copper wire supplied for class. Making Glass Beads *** turn basic glass rods into beautiful beads using a torch, mandrels, some tools & your imagination. With Curtis Cecil as your experienced (25 yrs in the glass business), very patient instructor, you will be creating your own designed beads that same night. You take home all the equipment so you can continue at your leisure ***4 hrs *** $225.00 class fee, includes a complete beginners kit. This class will refresh all your skills you learned in the basic class. Along with more in depth coverage of free form wrapping, swirl links, and much more. CROCHETING with BEADS

Some classes are by appointment, with one on one instruction available. Beginning classes are offered at least twice a week for your convenience.
We also offer special project classes, with these classes some materials (if not all) are included in the fee. At times, we will invite a guest teacher to come in & teach us all something new & different. Check back here for special event notifications & for calendar changes.
When there is a class you wish to take, most deposits are $10.00 & shall be paid before hand. The deposit is non-transferable/returnable unless you notify A Place to Bead within 24 hrs... There is usually a set number of spots & as always, it is on a first come basis.
As always, you can have specialized instruction using a variety of techniques including square, peyote (tubular, flat & circular), ladder & brick stitch. Also doing simple knotting, eyeglass beaded chains, very basic wire work, some chain work & design basics.
We charge a $30.00 hourly fee for these services.
